| Social Media Week Expands To 4 Times A Year In 2015 |
Global organizers Crowdcentric have announced today that they will be expanding SMW with four editions of the worldwide event now scheduled for 2015.
Entering its 6th year, SMW has brought together more than 200,000 people across thousands of individually hosted events on six continents and connected millions of people online around changes in human connectivity and the impact it is having on society, culture and economies around the world.
“We are at the very beginning of a seismic, societal shift being driven by the technology around us and together we must work together to gain deeper understanding of how we can achieve more in a future where more than 6 billion people on the planet will connect to each other.” said Toby Daniels, Founder & Executive Director of Social Media Week and CEO of New York based Crowdcentric.
“This is why we continue to build SMW, it’s why we are inundated each year with new cities wanting to join us, and it’s why we are more excited about the future of SMW than ever before.”
Last week, SMW announced its global theme for 2015, a year long examination of how technology will impact that way we live, work and in a connected world, and how new ideas, innovations and break-through technologies will lead to meaningful changes in our lives.
To deepen the engagement with their global community, the team at Social Media Week are pleased to announce the conference will be hosted four times in 2015, by adding two new editions of Social Media Week in June and November of 2015.
Further, they will be expanding their year-round editorial and news coverage.
In 2015, Social Media Week will host conferences four times a year, on the following dates:
February 23-27
June 8-12
September 14-18
November 16-20
In 2015, SMW will host events in more than 25 cities across four editions, including:
February 23-27:
Jakarta
Hamburg
Lagos
Milan
New York
In June, September and November, SMW will host events in the following cities:
Cairo
Johannesburg
London
Los Angeles
Miami
Rome
Rotterdam
Sâo Paulo
More cities to be announced soon!
Through this expanded evolution, Social Media Week looks forward to an amazing year in 2015.
Through engaging, entertaining, educational and diverse content and experiences, SMW will discover how our connected world helps us all achieve more and live more productive lives.
